Exhibition Collaboration, Ecology and Representation

In our studio, we seek to produce design and architecture congruent to the present era (economic, political, social, and environmental). We pursue this goal by giving the same value and importance to the three elements we work with: object (what we design); user (who we design for); and context (where the object lays). Our way of thinking relies on this principle.

These elements –expressed through many and varied synonyms– have always been present in architecture and design. However, the deliberate choice of specific terminology allows us to define our own direction.

For us, the object, the user, and the context are the three guiding principles of our practice. Actually, it is the clash of these three elements –each of a different nature– where our designs and architecture is generated.

In this exhibition, we present the three key themes we aim to address in our work today and which remain present as questions throughout our design process: ecology and how a project can address climate issues; openness to collaboration as a current working system; and representation, which allows us to reflect and question the use and meaning of image in the 21st century, encouraging us to thoughtfully consider each one that leaves the studio and ensuring its production reflects our way of working.
