The EA Collection pays tribute to the monumental legacy of the Estadio Azteca — now renamed Estadio Banorte — originally conceived by the renowned Mexican modernist architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez. The chair’s concave backrest echoes the crater-like volume of Estadio Banorte, framing architecture as an act of integration with the landscape rather than imposition. Its tri-form base draws from the stadium’s radial symmetry and stepped structure, referencing both Mesoamerican geometry and modernist brutalism. Together, the piece expresses the tension between monumentality and human scale, between ritual form and contemporary function.
