About Us

The mission of our studio is to produce architecture and design that align with our present moment and the pressing climatic challenges we face.

In our practice, we believe that design and architecture are effective instruments to envision new possibilities for the future and to enhance the way we live, connect with ourselves, and interact with the context we inhabit.

We work with recurring elements, tools, and resources in every project, approaching each one with objectivity and pragmatism. In design, we emphasize functionality, while our architecture emphasizes programmatic and contextual sensitivity.

Our architecture and design are guided by values that reflect our perspectives on the current economic, political, social, and environmental conditions.

We look to create designs that understand the past, build upon what has already been done, and learn from it; that engage with local cultures and establish meaningful relationships with them; that address the climatic realities of our time, contributing to solutions and improvements through an economy of means, intelligently utilizing the resources at their disposal; that remain coherent and consistent at every stage; and that are conceived and crafted with clear intention.

To achieve this, we work with three fundamental elements: the object (what we design), the user (who we design for), and the context (where the object lays). It is in the clash between these three elements —each of such distinct nature— that our designs and architecture are generated.

These elements –expressed through many and varied synonyms– have always been present in architecture and design. However, the deliberate choice of specific terminology allows us to define our own direction.

In addition, we address three recurring themes that remain present as questions throughout our design process: ecology and how a project can address climate-related issues; openness to collaboration as a current working system; and representation, which allows us to reflect and question the use and meaning of the image in the 21st century, encouraging us to carefully consider every image that leaves the studio and ensuring its production reflects our way of working.

We believe in collaboration as a fundamental tool, where its meaning is only truly realized through the genuine participation of each of its parts.

We are a team of designers and architects committed to finding objective and functional solutions to the diverse projects assigned to us. We seek to work across various programs, uses, and scales simultaneously, as we believe that design and architecture can generate positive impact regardless of size, location, or function.
